Bringing with her nearly two decades of experience from within the financial industry, Sarah Nuanes sits on the COV Board of Directors as its Treasurer. In this capacity, her main responsibilities are to oversee the financial administration of the non-profit organization, review procedures and financial reporting, advise the board on financial strategy, and advise on fundraising.
Sarah is a vested member of the Skagit County community and is passionate about giving local children a platform from which to dream big. Through her participation with COV, she hopes to show them that they can each achieve their goals through consistency, hard work ethic, and a positive attitude. Sarah’s 5-year goal for COV is for it to expand its reach within the Mount Vernon School District, but also in neighboring communities.
Currently, Sarah is a Branch Manager for a local BECU location. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from the University of Wyoming. In addition to her COV Board position, she is also the Mount Vernon High School Band/Orchestra Boosters Club President.
Sarah resides in Mount Vernon with her husband of 18 years, Adam, and her three beautiful daughters with whom she enjoys spending most of her free time. She can also be found attending sporting games, cheering on her family and friends.
