Dylan Sicklesteel joined the COV Board as its Strategic Planning Committee chairperson in October 2019. In this role, his primary responsibilities include oversight of the organization’s mission, vision, and strategic direction. This will include working cohesively with the COV Board to develop a short-term strategic plan that identifies the organization’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to help the Board establish priorities and set goals.
Dylan first became acquainted with COV as a high school student when he became a volunteer. Able to witness the powerful and positive impact that COV programming had on its students and within our community, it was an easy decision to join the COV Board when approached with the idea. His affinity toward helping people brings him great joy in life.
“The joy you see when you help someone believe in themselves or realize their full potential is one of the best gifts you can give someone,” Dylan added.
Dylan brings fresh ideals and youthful wisdom. He has gained valuable experience as a paraeducator in the Migrant and Bilingual Education Program, Spanish-speaking Family Liaison, Migrant Education Program Recruiter, and Migrant Student Advocate for Conway School District. Dylan attended Whitworth University in Spokane, studying Spanish Language and Literature, as well as La Universidad de Murcia in Spain. He is currently working towards completion of his Bachelor’s degree.
In his free-time, Dylan enjoys sooking, Spanish language and literature, music, film, history, and soccer.
